Everyone faces the dilemma: owning their own home or living in rented accommodation at some point in their lives. In this article we will list some of the most important advantages of one of the options: living in rented accommodation.
- Small initial outlay - compared to buying a property, renting an apartment requires a small initial outlay. Of course it depends on the rental price of the property, and in some cases the amount may be more than a few hundred leva. Generally, before moving in, we have to pay 1 rent + 1 rent deposit to the owners;
- Ability to change accommodation quickly - if at some point you decide you want to change accommodation, this is much easier if you are in accommodation. 1 or 2 months' notice is standard;
- No need to look after the common parts of the block/cooperative - Generally these costs are borne by the landlord and so your financial responsibility is reduced compared to owning your own home;
- There is no need to make major repairs to the home, or to keep track of local taxes and fees - these major expenses are also borne by the homeowners and so you have fewer obligations and responsibilities to the property
- Greater financial security - when buying their own home, most people resort to taking out a loan. By living in an apartment you can save the difference between the monthly rent and the loan payment, which in most cases is drawn over a long period of time - 15- 20 years.
